NTERNATIONAL FOLK DANCE FESTIVAL „SPRING TALE – BUDAFEST“

The International Folk – Dance Festival “Spring Tale – Budapest” will be held in Budapest, Hungary during the period from 08 till 11 March 2021.
The intention of our invitation is to celebrate life, love, and friendship through dance and music. The Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and regions and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together and create long-lasting friendships.
Located in Hungary, Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is situated right on the bank of River Danube. Not only is this city a perfect spot for a vacation; offering much to the tourists from around the world, but it’s also located in a central position which allows tourists to easily travel to other great places in the country.
With a unique, youthful atmosphere, a world-class classical music scene as well as an exciting nightlife increasingly appreciated among European youth and, last but not least, an exceptionally rich offering of natural thermal baths, Budapest is one of Europe’s most delightful and enjoyable cities. Due to its scenic setting and its architecture, it is nicknamed “Paris of the East”.
The International Folk Dance Festival “Spring Tale” is a non-competitive festival of traditional and modern dances. On the festival may participate children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, instrumental groups, choirs, as well as groups and performers from other art styles. The age of participants is not limited.
During the Festival each Group will have 1 performances which will be organized in a Concert Hall where groups can perform either with live music or USB. According to the number of participants the minutes of the performance will be defined. The performances will be in the evening hours so you can plan the day ahead and use it for visiting the city attractions or shopping. Every Group will be rewarded with a Certificate for taking part on the Festival.
NOTE: Each group must send us the music for the performance by email, 10 days before the festival starts.
During the free time, on group request the Festival Team can organize several excursions:
– Boat cruise along Danube
– Sightseeing of the city

The accommodation of the participants will be organized in 3*** Hotel on a HB basis
The groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 and 4 beds with their own bathroom.
Each Group can have only 2 double rooms which can be used for the Leaders and Drivers.
Accommodation: 3* Hotels – Half Board Basis
Price: 4 days (3 nights) – 119 euro
Extra charge: Double room: 5 euro per person / per day
Single room: 19 euro per person / per day
Extra night: 35 euro/person
Free Members: Every 25 pax 1 pax free
City Tax: Included in the festival fee
NOTE: The Groups must send the rooming list one month before arrive at the festival. Groups that do
not send, the rooming list will be made by the festival organization and can’t changed upon arrival.
Participation fee can be paid via bank transfer or in cash on the day of arrival. Each
participant group should pay 30 % in advance after receiving the official invitation. After this
date 15.02.2022 advance payment are not refunded.
The participant group has to arrive in Budapest on 8th March (starting with lunch) and leave
on 11th of March after having breakfast and leave the rooms till 10:00h. The groups should pay
the travel expenses by themselves to Budapest and back.
The groups coming by bus can use their own transport all the time during the festival and
the small journeys around the city. Any expense caused by the usage of the bus (accident,
robbing, breakdown, etc) should be covered by the vehicle’s insurance. Each member must
have a travel insurance policy.
The Parking for the buses is paid by the group at the rate set on the parking place.
(approximately 15 euro per day).
The festival organizers will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking
them up from airport, during the festival days and back to the same airport. The cost of the
transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed according to their

18:00 Concert (Depending on the number of the groups we will let you
know about the minutes of your performance.)
10.03 – Thursday

* Each group must send us their dancing music by email, 10 days before the festival starts.
* The Organizer reserves the right to change the program, and the participants will be informed on time.
* The copyright of all video materials and pictures are ownership of the Organization of the Festival.
