Belgrade (Beograd) is the capital of Serbia and has a population of around 2 million. It is situated in South-Eastern Europe, at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe and has since ancient times been an important focal point for traffic, an intersection of the roads of Eastern and Western Europe.
There are spots in Belgrade you must definitely see and feel: streets, squares, monuments, parks, drinking fountains, archeological sites, and other sights that deserve a recommendation. Many of them have been given the status of cultural assets.
Belgrade Fortress represents the old citadel and Kalemegdan Park on the confluence of the River Sava and Danube, in an urban area of modern Belgrade. It is located in Belgrade’s municipality of Stari Grad. Belgrade Fortress was declared Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance, and it is protected by the Republic of Serbia.
The Cathedral of Saint Sava is an Orthodox church in Belgrade, the largest Orthodox cathedral in the Balkans, and one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world. The church is dedicated to Saint Sava, founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church and an important figure in medieval Serbia.
Knez Mihailova Street is the main walking street in Belgrade, it is a pedestrian zone and shopping center, protected by law as one of the oldest and most valuable landmarks of the city. It has a large number of impressive buildings and mansions built at the end of the 1870s.
Groups are accommodated in hotels nearby the city center (such as the hotel Jugoslavia 3*,www.hoteljugoslavija.rs) on an HB basis (2 meals per day).
The participation fee is 79€ per person.
The Groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 and 4 beds with their own bathroom. Each Group can have 2 double rooms, guaranteed by Festival which can be used for the Leaders and Drivers.

-Single Room: 15 euro/day
-Extra night: 35 euro/person/day
The Folk Dance Festival is a non-competitive festival. At the festival can participate in children and youth folklore dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles. The number and age of the participants are not limited.
The participant group has to arrive in Belgrade on the 14th of September 2022 (starting with lunch) and leave on the 16th of September 2022 after breakfast and leave the rooms till 10:00.
During the festival, every ensemble will have one performance from 5 to 8 minutes (live music or CD). Every Ensemble will be rewarded with a Certificate for taking part in the Festival.

13:00-Arrival and accommodation of the groups at the hotel
20:00-Meeting with FFA representative and short description of the festival program (2 leaders per group max)
15.09. – Thursday
10:00-Free Time – Excursion Day – (You can find more information in “Excursions” section.)
16:45-Parade
17:00-Concert & Diploma Rewarding (Depending of the number of the groups we will let you know about the minutes of your performance.)
20:30-FFA Zumba party

Detailed Festival Program will be given to you 1 month before the start of the festival.
Every group should bring their national flag and two gifts for exchanging with Organization and local authorities.
Most programs are held in the evening hours with a short Defile before the concert, so you can use your daytime to spend in lovely Belgrade and around Serbia.
The participant group should cover the travel expenses from their country to Belgrade. In the case the group arrives by plane, we can organize transport Airport – Hotel / Hostel – Airport (250€).
Parking for buses is paid for by the group at the rate set on the parking place!
The organizer reserves the right to any changes in the program, and the participants will be informed on time. By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions!
